Fermenting Giveaway with Fermentools

fermenting giveaway

Welcome to a special combined Fermentools giveaway from Homestead Chronicles, Simply Living Simply, and Timber Creek Farm.  Earlier this year, we were each given the opportunity to work with a company called Fermentools.  Fermentools created  a unique package of top of the line fermenting equipment.  Sold, in sets, these fermenting tools help you create small batches of delicious and highly nutritious fermented food, easily in your own home.  Since the day we agreed to work with Fermentools, we have been doing a lot of fermenting!  Carrots to Kimchee, mushrooms to saurkraut, beets to mixed vegetables, we have kept our kits busy and have discovered the ease and rewards of using the Fermentools system.  Now thanks to the Fermentools Giveaway, three lucky readers can also journey into the world of fermenting!

What exactly do you need to ferment?  The kit includes the following.  Two glass weights, a stainless steel lid and rubber gasket,  a four piece air lock system and  a bag of super fine Himalayan Pink Salt.  The only thing you need to provide is a large mouth canning jar and the fresh veggies. The quality components make a huge difference in being successful at fermenting.  The glass weights wash up easily between batches, and the stainless steel lid will last a lifetime.    Fermented foods take a few weeks to properly ferment and develop the best flavor, so remember to not rush your ferments.

Please check out some of the wonderful recipes we have already published for you to enjoy.  Fermentools also has a website full of ideas and recipes and links to more.
